The house pictured here did not have weeping tile. Abalon was called to repair the concrete wall.
What sets Abalon apart is that all excavation is done by hand. The soil is dug out in 1 foot layers. Excavation by hand minimizes any property damage. Abalon ensures to protect all landscaping while excavating your project.
When the excavation exceeds 1.2 meters or if soil conditions require it, we use shoring.
After excavation, the wall must be cleaned with scrapers and brushes.
The wall is chipped, caulked, grouted and damp proofed. Abalon cares about sustainability and our environmental impact, so we use all recycled materials.
Damp proofing is given adequate time to dry.
Though not always a necessity, foundation wrap may be required and will be installed if needed.
Safety is a top priority for Abalon. Though shoring can make the the job more difficult, it is necessary to keep the workers safe.
Wrap and weeping tile are installed once wall dries.
Our crews are able to work in all types of weather conditions. During inclement weather, soil is covered to prevent from getting wet or frozen.
Washed rock is used to filter water entering the weeping tile system.
Upon completion, the work area gets backfilled. The site is left clean and without a trace that Abalon was even there.
